About Dr. Vogel

Andreas Vogel is a board-certified endocrinologist based in Munich, with two decades of clinical and consulting practice at the intersection of endocrinology, metabolic medicine and sports and exercise medicine. His clinical caseload is roughly split between hormonal imbalances in ambulatory patients (thyroid, adrenal, HPG-axis pathology) and outpatient consulting for competitive and recreational athletes returning from anabolic or peptide cycles.

The bulk of his non-clinical time goes into review work: writing and editing patient-facing endocrinology material, technical reviews for medical publishers, and — more recently — pharmacological accuracy review of consumer catalogues in the sports supplement and anabolic space. He treats the last of these as harm-reduction rather than promotion: every product monograph and category hub on LabGain is walked through for factual claims (dosages, half-lives, ester chemistry, WADA status, cited studies) before it goes live.

Outside consulting he runs an outpatient endocrinology practice in Munich-Schwabing, sits on the editorial board of one German-language medical journal, and mentors sports medicine residents through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sportmedizin und Prävention (DGSP).

Editorial approach

My role on this catalogue is narrow and specific. I do not endorse anabolic use, nor do I recommend cycles. What I do is check that the information the site puts in front of a reader is factually correct: that a listed half-life matches the pharmacological literature, that a compound’s WADA category is current, that dose ranges are described as user-community practice rather than clinical guidance, and that the substantive risks — cardiovascular, endocrine, hepatotoxic, oncological — are stated clearly. Where evidence is thin, I flag it. Where community assumptions run ahead of the data, I say so.

Clinical & editorial focus

Post-cycle endocrine recovery

HPG-axis re-activation protocols, PCT design, endocrinological follow-up after supraphysiological AAS use.

Peptide therapeutics review

Editorial and pharmacological review of GH-secretagogue and GLP-1/GIP peptide product monographs.

Sport-endocrine consultation

Ambulatory consultation for athletes with abnormal blood panels, unclear symptoms, or return-to-training questions.

Anti-doping-safe medication review

Individual assessment of prescribed and OTC medicines for tested athletes against the current WADA Prohibited List.
